Today, people are catching wind of the importance of Omega-3 fats found in oily fish like salmon. But, most fish available at the grocery store is farmed. Farmed salmon is fed an unnatural, grain-based diet. The food pellets include orange food dye that changes the salmon’s flesh from a gross grey to the orange we expect. (Wild salmon have orange flesh because they eat orange krill.) Fish farms also have disastrous environmental impact.
